How to Make Baseball Fans Want to Go to the Movies
Posted by Mike Jones on September 22, 2018 06:13:13The NHL season is only three games away, but the Blackhawks have plenty of incentive to watch a few of the teams they’ve played on the road this year.
“We’re excited to get back in town, and we’re ready to go to the movies,” Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa said.
The Blackhawks are off to a slow start to the season, falling to the Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning in the opening games of their first-round series.
Chicago is 3-7-1, and they haven’t won a game since April 3, when the team suffered a 2-1 loss to the Nashville Predators.
The Blues have been a playoff team since the first round of the 2014-15 season, but their recent success has come against some tough competition, including the Nashville Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks.
The Wild are currently the top seed in the Western Conference, and coach Mike Yeo is hopeful that he can bring a playoff push back to Minnesota.
The Stars are in last place in the Central Division with eight games remaining.
They have played three straight road games and are only four points behind the Blackhawks in the race for the final wild card spot.
The Stars haven’t played the Blackhawks since May 26, and the team hasn’t lost in the series since April 2, when they lost 5-2 to Chicago.
The Chicago Blackhawks are the only team to have played the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
They won the first two games and have a four-game lead in the first wild-card spot.
Chicago has won three straight games and is 5-1-1 on the season.
The Nashville Predators are coming off a 3-1 win over the Calgary Flames, who have lost seven of their past nine games.
They’ve played six of their last seven games against teams currently in the wild-cards, including three straight against teams who are currently on the outside looking in.
Nashville has won four straight and is currently 2-2-0.
