When Subaru Forester Sport hits the road, the company will make it sexy again
Recode is reporting that Subaru will release a new, redesigned Forester sport sedan in 2018, which will use the same architecture and chassis as the Forester i and Forester S models.
The redesigned Foresters will come with a range of new features and technologies, including a 4.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be powered by a 1.8-liter twin-turbo turbocharger.
The turbochargers are paired with new electric powertrains, making it possible to use both electric and petrol engines at the same time.
This means the Foresters can get up to 100 miles per charge while still maintaining fuel economy of around 17 mpg.
The Forester lineup will be refreshed with the new Forester sedan, but the Forestrollers will also get a few upgrades in 2018.
They’ll get a new front fascia, which adds an air suspension, as well as an aluminum grille, grille trim, and door badges.
The 2018 Foresters are already on sale in the United States, and the Forests are available in a variety of trim levels, including the standard trim, Premium, Limited, Sport, Touring, Tour, and Track.
The Foresters S models have not yet been confirmed.
